Lindsay Vonn is the welcome subject of a new press release sent out by the U. S. ski team.
She’s back on snow in Portillo, Chille, after seven months spent rehabbing her torn-apart right knee . She’s warming up easy—well, easy by Lindsay Vonn standards. Five runs on flat terrain, with simple drills and moderate edging. She hopes to be back in gates by end of the week.
According to the release, Vonn’s spirit is willing, and so is her flesh. She’s quoted as saying, “I’ve crashed a lot in my career and I’m just getting back up as fast as I can. Unfortunately it’s taken me seven months to get back up this time but I was really excited to get back out there. It feels like the right time and my body feels ready.”
